Eucalyptus-Lemon Oil Natural Insect Repellant

Eucalyptus citriodora: This attractive, tall evergreen tree whose smooth dimpled bark is blotched with gray, cream and pink is cultivated as an ornamental. This tree is native to Australia, yet it is mainly cultivated in Brazil and China. A pale yellow essential oil results from steam distillation of the leaves and twigs; the oil has a strong citronella-like odor with a hint of balsamic.
